About Us

TheraPly has manufactured therapy benches and nested tables for over 15 years, including the original Quest '88 therapy benches. Towards the end of 2022, TheraPly began supplying therapy benches directly to the market as Quest '88 Ltd had ceased trading.

TheraPly is a trading name of Lydwood (Glos) Ltd, which has over 60 years of woodworking manufacturing experience. Lydwood was established in 1964 when Robert Jones began manufacturing Cedar wood home extensions. He later expanded in to sports, shields and trophies and the original one arm bandit fruit machine cabinets. Lydwood also manufactured the first mass produced skateboards to be sold in the UK.

In 1987, Robert's son Nick and his daughter-in-law Georgie joined the business to add a new dimension - CNC routing. As Engineering graduates with backgrounds in aerospace, they introduced state-of-the-art production technology and applied it to woodworking.

Lydwood assisted with the development of, and manufactured, wooden products for Quest '88 Limited from the early 2000s. Lydwood continued to manufacture Quest '88 therapy benches for Quest 88 until they ceased trading in late 2022.

In 2021, Nick & Georgie's daughter, Emma, became Managing Director of Lydwood. Emma holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering and joined Lydwood after working at Williams Grand Prix Engineering and as a design engineer for Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula 1 team.
